How is a song produced? We explain it all!

You might already be in the loop, but did you know that you, dear Wersja Karaoke member, help us decide what songs are added to our catalog? Let’s take a look at the entire process from suggestion of a song to production!

1. Track Suggestion

Before a track is produced, a user must first have suggested it. You can do that here by adding the song name and the artist.

2. Voting

Any member of the Wersja Karaoke community can vote for any song that has been suggested. The more votes a song receives from our members the more likely it has to be produced so don’t hesitate to drum up support from your friends who are also members of our community. You can find songs in production here.

3. Producer Selection

Once the suggested track has obtained enough votes (within the hundreds), we select a partner studio. We work with over 30 partner studios in 12 countries in order to respect the authenticity and quality of the original track (for example, we work with producers in Nashville to bring you some country classics). Each one of our production studios has been carefully selected after a thorough evaluation process.

4. Quality Verification

We take great care in making sure that a track that is produced and found on our site is as close to the original as possible, that the quality of the audio is top-notch and that nothing is compromised. Our team is in contact with our producers on a daily basis in order to verify the delivery of the best possible covers.

5. Information Collected

Next, we hunt for and record any relevant information about the song; this includes the musical info as well as the technical info (track structure, chords, lyrics, etc.) as well as any copyright information of publishers, composers and artists.

6. Songs Uploaded to the Site

Songs are then added to the site, as vocal or instrumental tracks and custom backing tracks (separate tracks for instruments and vocals) in the MP3 format.

7. Lyrics Syncing and Karaoke Video Creation

Next, our team gets to work to create a karaoke video. This includes making a video of background effects and images, and syncing the lyrics to the audio track.
